Challenger

CHALLENGER BEGINS NOVEMBER 6TH!!

The challenger program was put in place over ten years ago for children with disabilities. The program is more of a free skate, but the children do use sticks and pucks. Our volunteers are Woburn Youth Hockey players who volunteer their time (ages 11 and up).

To participate you must have a helmet with a cage because there are pucks on the ice (USA Hockey rule). The program has the ice rental donated by Woburn Youth Hockey and we have been able to buy equipment through donations from our sponsors.

Prerequisite:  There are no prerequisites to participate in this program.

Fees: There are no fees associated with this program. The program has the ice rental donated by Woburn Youth Hockey and we have been able to buy equipment through donations from our sponsors.

Please note that, all players are required to dress in appropriate gear with an approved hockey helmet with full cage, hockey skates and gloves when they are on the ice. Additional protective gear, such as full hockey gear, may be worn if desired by the parents and/or the children.

For further information please contact the Challenger Program Director at challenger@woburnyouthhockey.org.
